About the Founder
"After studying trade and years spent between Europe and Asia, where I learned both the great and intimidating aspects of world trade, I decided to expand my studies in ecology and development studies at the University of Edinburgh. A major turning point for me was my research and time in Cambodia, where I had the opportunity to get to know the reality of life in developing countries, and because of my popularity of coffee, I became more interested in this commodity.
The idea for Elements was primarily based on the idea of getting the highest quality, certified coffee with a positive impact on as many households as possible and raising awareness of the conditions under which non-certified coffee can come and what the real price of cheap coffee is. According to our research, there is currently more than 80% unsustainable coffee in the Czech Republic and in many cases it is sold at unrealistic prices that do not reflect the intensity of work, environmental damage and the cost of resources associated with cultivation. That needs to change, and I hope Elements leaves a mark on change. "
